Summer Memories — bike trip to attend Marshall College ftball game

Posted in Friends, Motorcycle / Trips on November 15, 2008 by Carole Hicks

This trip was one of the most fun trips we’ve ever been on.  This group of friends is so easy to get along with…so easy to plan a trip and ride with.  Basically, we ate and road and ate and road…and stopped every time we saw a Starbucks.pa040115

The Harley is gathering dust now…November blah

Here it is…November.  The bike is in the garage gathering dust.  On a happier note, I just put up the fake-o Christmas tree tonight and it is beautiful.  I’m going to wait until the girls arrive next week and decorate it with them…our tradition.pa040076

Precious child…from trip to Shipshewana, IN

This photo was taken from our horse/buggy ride with an Amish man named “Miller Freeman” or was it “Freeman Miller”…I never can remember which way. This precious little girl came running out in her bare feet (all the Amish kids are usually barefoot) to the edge of her yard because the driver throws candy to them…all the families know and trust him or else they wouldn’t let the kids do this…anyhoo, I digress…this little girl was just beautiful beyond belief…the photo really doesn’t capture how gorgeous she was.

Have I ever told you my story about God and the flowers? If you ask me, I will tell you.

Just a spider web

Really, it’s just a spider web. But the amazing thing was that during our weekend visit to Amish country we actually got to slow the pace of life down real…slowwwwwww…and actually appreciate the beauty of the trees, clouds, flowers, animals…and even spiders and their webs. Yesh…I R relaxed big time. It’s a beautiful thing.
